Bio

I am a Virginia-based photographer / Creative Director specializing in portraiture, corporate, entertainment and advertising projects.

Put simply, I love creating art. My photography is made up of this choreographed dance between light and pose and location and composition that all make for a great work of art.

I’ve been around photography and art for most of my life. As a kid, I learned about my aunt Glenna who was a little known NYC photographer capturing photographs intended for album covers in the 1950s for Columbia Records. It has been my honor to take up that mantel and continue a work begun by her.

Have you ever seen a magazine cover or an editorial spread and said to yourself, “I would love to have a photo of me taken that way?” Maybe you thought it was out reach or maybe you just didn’t know who to contact in order to pull it off. Well, you found that person.

Like the old Master painters, I enjoy creating environmental portraits. There’s something about the creation of a compositional story that makes my heart sing. I enjoy finding a great location, supervising the art direction of the shoot, including wardrobe, makeup, lighting and the overall feel of the look. That is my love and passion and goal for what I do.

How it Works

  • After a first analysis of the needs and scope of the work, like the location (geographic/interior/exterior), time of day, and overall style … I will provide a quote for the session, and a scheduling timeframe.

    Either in person or on a Zoom call, we will then decide specifics, such as lighting, wardrobe, and makeup if desired.

    We’ll then sum up all final details via email and provide a schedule for the shoot – the normal lead time for a commission ranges from 4 to 6 weeks.

  • We’ll meet at the designated location.

    Time allotted for makeup and wardrobe.

    Photo Session.

  • You will then receive a proof sheet where you can select your final images. The number will depend on the package selected.

    Final Delivery of Images:

    After receipt of your selects, I’ll edit and retouch the images (7-14 days)

    Final delivery will be as digital uploads to your personal folder. Prints can be made from your folder.

  • A 50% deposit is required once scheduling is set.

    The remaining balance is required once the selects are made.
